Welded Cross Tube Hydraulic Cylinders

Our welded cross tube hydraulic cylinders feature steel tubes welded onto the side of the cylinder or on top of the end caps. These steel tubes serve as oil passages. This is known as a cross tube design.

This design is ideal for mining support equipment and construction machinery where space is limited. By moving the oil ports away from the cylinder body, it prevents hose abrasion and interference.

The cross tubes are made from the same material as the cylinder tube. Their size and wall thickness are designed to withstand pressures up to 31.5 MPa. Each unit undergoes a pressure test after welding to ensure reliability.

This welded cross tube hydraulic cylinder provides a clean and efficient piping layout.

The rated pressure can reach up to 31.5 MPa. Bore sizes range from 80 to 400 mm, and the maximum stroke is 6000 mm.

Cross tubes can be arranged on one side or both sides. Port thread options include NPT, G, metric, and mining KJ/DN series.

The main advantage of this design is that it eliminates the need to drill threaded holes into the cylinder tube. Drilled holes create stress concentrations that can weaken the structure.

With the cross tube design, there are no stress points on the main cylinder body, and all piping is centralized in one area, resulting in a cleaner and more compact layout.
