What is a hydraulic valve assembly?

Hydraulic valve assemblies are automated components operated by pressurized oil. They control the flow rate and direction of the liquid to open and close pipeline systems. They are typically used in combination with solenoid pressure regulating valves to achieve remote control of the clamping, control, and lubrication of oil, gas, and water pipeline systems in hydropower stations. Their core functions are divided into three main categories: pressure control valves, flow control valves, and directional control valves. Flow control valves are further classified by application into throttle valves, speed control valves, flow divider valves, flow combiner valves, and flow divider-combiner valves. Based on control method, they can be classified into manual valves, electric valves, and hydraulic valves. Based on structure, they can be classified into plate valves, pipe valves, and stacked valves.

 

These components employ both direct-acting and pilot-operated working principles. Electro-hydraulic proportional control valves can continuously adjust output parameters via electrical signals. Valve body design requires simplified oil circuit integration, and a compact structure is ensured through a reasonable layout of oblique holes and process holes. Maintenance methods mainly include disassembly and cleaning, parts selection, and electroplating repair. Electroplating processes (such as chemical composite electroplating) can repair uniform wear surfaces within 0.12 mm [2-3]. The current development direction of hydraulic technology includes combining traditional hydraulic components with intelligent technology and exploring the integration path of technologies such as "hydraulic + electric control + AI computing power" [4].
