Hydraulic Hose Installation Guide

Feb 16, 2026

Proper Layout for Secure Hydraulic Pipes

When installing hydraulic hoses, the overall layout should be considered first. Secure the hoses firmly to prevent interference or collisions with other components, reducing unnecessary wear and damage. Minimize the number of bends, especially right-angle bends, as these increase oil flow resistance and may even damage the hoses. To ensure smooth flow, large-radius bends are recommended, ensuring the bending radius is not less than the minimum allowable bending radius.

Tight Connections to Prevent Leaks

The connections of hydraulic hoses are crucial for preventing leaks. When installing joints, ensure the correct installation of the sealing rings to guarantee a tight seal. Use a torque wrench to tighten the threads to the specified torque, avoiding under-tightening or over-tightening, which can lead to leaks or thread damage. Tight connections not only ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system but also extend the service life of the hoses.

Prevent Twisting to Maintain Stable Oil Flow

During installation, special care should be taken to prevent hose twisting. Twisted hydraulic lines can cause unstable oil flow, increase pressure fluctuations in the hydraulic system, and may even lead to malfunctions. Therefore, during installation, it should be ensured that the bending plane of the hydraulic line is in the same plane as the direction of movement to maintain stable and smooth oil flow.
